Lazy Lady is a small scale, scratch made artisan bakeshop run by Johnson City local Maren Close. Specializing in cakes, pies, breads, and sweet and savory pastries, Close is inspired by her heritage and long line of great family cooks, and her professional experience on the west coast.
Currently, you can find Lazy Lady products at coffee shops, and by special order. Lazy Lady is available for catering orders, parties, and weddings.

ARTIST INFO
East Tennessee native Alice Salyer is a recent graduate of East Tennessee State University’s MFA program with an emphasis in Graphic Design. She returned to school after a career as an advertising art director to explore new career and artistic possibilities. Her broad, multi-faceted practice includes digital and traditional methods, exploring a variety of subjects.
She is fascinated with visual evidence of entropy and the often abstract beauty found in the natural processes of decay.
Sylvia Lane is a Studio Art major at Hollins University, a small women’s university in Roanoke, VA.
